Escape Route Presents
The Rubble Creek Classic
The Rubble Creek Classic is an early morning recreation trail run that has been going every year since 1985. It is an annual rite of passage and is the Sea2Sky corridor’s most spectacular trail run. One of the longest running events in both distance and history, it perhaps reflects the beauty and challenge of the geography around Whistler and Squamish unlike any other.
The course remains the same as part of the Sea to Sky Trail Running Series, the Rubble Creek Classic takes runners up a grueling 1338m climb. Runners then proceed along the Helm Creek Trail through the Cinder Flats giving them epic views of the Black Tusk and down to Garibaldi lake and its environs. Through the beautiful Taylor Meadows ending with the final knee jarring decent of 1781m to finish at the Rubble Creek parking lot.
This run has always been considered the crown jewel in trail runs at 24kms. It is a long run but the scenery is so spectacular you don’t mind the work! We look forward to another stunning event. And if you wait till next year, you will be another year older, so sign up now.
Next Rubble Creek Classic Run is September 2012
Registration is currently closed.
